If more of us that name the name of Christ acted like they believed He commanded us to care for the widows and the poor, maybe we wouldn't need a welfare system.

As I commented on Cent's blog - CI is a wonderful organization. We've sponsored a little girl in Indonesia for about a year and and half now.
My wife and I are looking at CI. Even though by So. Cal. American standards we are the poor, we see how wonderfully God provides for our family. Most of our charity is spent locally, but my heart yearns for the most impact, the highest ROI on what the Lord has given us. IOW to give the little we have, where it gives the most.
